Any adult Subordinate or Community Grange member, in good standing, may become a Junior Grange Leader. It is recommended that the Leader have reached the minimum age of 25 years. Assistant leaders may be of Subordinate Grange age and must be in good standing as a member. All Junior Grange leaders shall comply with the regulations of their State Grange with regard to background clearance requirements and approval.
A Junior Grange Leader coordinates the development of activities for the Junior Members, obtains adult supervision/leadership. The Junior Grange Leader also works with the adults, parents, or guardians to create a balanced program for all of the children involved.
The Junior Grange Leader should possess skills in leadership, communication, administration, and, most importantly, an interest in developing leadership qualities in young Junior Grange members. In all things – be flexible, keep it fun, and enjoy this time with the children.
